About the Event
Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT) is one of the longest-running, most effective and most frequently used models of Play Therapy. With strong scientific evidence and broad applicability, it is one of the most developmentally appropriate therapeutic interventions with respect to a very wide range of issues including anxiety, AD/HD, chronic illness, social difficulties, behavioral and attachment problems, depression, loss and trauma.for children 2.5 to 12 years old
The skills on which CCPT is based are also extremely useful when practicing directive Play Therapy methodologies. This approach is also the basis of the family Play Therapy intervention called Filial Therapy. Upon completion of the program, participants will develop considerable competence in conducting CCPT sessions.
