Become a Certified Play Therapist

We are excited to announce the first Three-Year Training Program in Play Therapy in Belgrade, organized in collaboration between the Association for Play Therapy Serbia (Udruženje za terapiju igrom Srbije) and the International Academy for Play Therapy.

This comprehensive program is designed for professionals working in mental health, education, childcare, special education, and rehabilitation who wish to deepen both their theoretical knowledge and practical skills in supporting children and families through Play Therapy.


What You Will Learn

Throughout the program, participants will gain in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in:

  • Neuroscience and the most effective Play Therapy models

  • Experiential in-class and online training with personalized feedback

  • Video demonstrations and real clinical case studies

  • Individual and group clinical supervision

  • Personal and professional development


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the training, participants will have developed the competencies needed to independently and ethically conduct the entire Play Therapy process, from initial assessment through treatment planning and therapeutic intervention to case closure, while actively involving caregivers throughout the process.


Certification

Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive the Certified Play Therapist credential awarded by the Association for Play Therapy Serbia (APT Serbia), with opportunities for further professional development.

Location: Belgrade, Serbia (with selected sessions delivered online)

Language: English, with professional translation into Serbian
