About the Event
Play and expressive arts have transformative and healing powers that can be expanded and respond effectively to new challenges. But what are "crises" today and more importantly, how to intervene ensuring sustainability and respect?
The meeting presents the Coping with the present while building for the future (CPBF) intervention model developed by Cassina and Mochi, mental health professionals specializing in play therapy and expressive arts who have worked in high-risk settings around the world.
After sharing the assumptions of a process-oriented approach and offering an overview of the CPBF model, the presenters will engage participants by showing videos and inviting them in a series of introspective activities for a deeperunderstanding of crisis work.
The presentation takes its inspiration from the homonymous book edited by Cassina, Mochi and Stagnitti and published by Routledge in 2023. More information on the CPBF model will be available in a series of publications from 2024.
